Goal & Purpose
To promote human rights protection and honor the spirit of cultural diversity, the United Nations designated December 18 as International Migrants Day. Taoyuan City has been emphasizing the development of cultural diversity and committed to building a friendly environment to individuals around the world. For our nationals to better understand cultures of different countries, and for the new immigrants to have the chance to gain insight into various government services, the event “Taoyuan International Migrants Day” is specifically organized to showcase the friendly face of Taoyuan as an inclusive city that embraces the world. Performances
Group performances led by new immigrants or children of new immigrants shall be presented on site, including the sailboat dance of Indonesia, the fan dance of Vietnam, the waist drum dance of the Minnan, the Tibetan dance, the traditional Thai dance, and the Kia Kaha dance of the Indigenous people from New Zealand, as well as the performances of Hanghang brough by Hand in Hand, music bands and more to bring you wonders one after another.
Cultural Experiences
Christmas cookie decoration, Henna nail and body painting, herbarium pen making, and bamboo hat painting are available on site for visitors to appreciate different cultures via handcrafts. Anyone keen on exotic cultures and fond of DIY activities are welcome.

Office ,” get off nearby the city hall, and go on foot and there you are. Warm reminder: “L112” is not in service on weekends and holidays.

THSR Shuttle Bus service (Express or 206 Taoyuan Main Stn.－THSR Taoyuan Stn.) from THSR Taoyuan Station to Taoyuan Main Station is recommended. With reference to Route 1, take the bus and get off nearby the city hall, go on foot and there you are.
